Prime Minister Visits the 'Revival' Art Solo Exposition by Pernile Tromp

Art is a powerful activity and has a great benefits for the development of a young person

Recently, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes attended the “Revival” exhibition by the artist Pernile Tromp. Pernile is a young woman with an incredible talent for painting. From a very young age, Pernile demonstrated a “gift” for art, and with the support of her parents, she developed this in an impressive way.

In a packed hall at Cas di Cultura, last Friday at 7 PM, the opening of Pernile's exhibition called “Revival” took place. Here, the artist showcased her artworks using various techniques she masters. One that certainly stood out was the “charcoal drawing” where she illustrated various portraits of famous people as well as others from her own inspiration. Pernile's talent is of such magnitude that by observing her art, one could mistake it for a photograph, indicating her skill, capacity, and precision in painting.

Art is a powerful activity and has great benefits for the development of a young person. Whether it is drawing, painting, sculpture, or any other form of creative expression, art has the ability to allow young people to explore and express their emotions.

"I will always continue to support local artists and especially young artists of Aruba. Pernile is an example that when parents support their children and invest in their talents, the young person can achieve what their heart desires, and if it is in art, this is truly beautiful," concluded the Prime Minister.
